We’re still marveling over a recent chart released in PJ Cook’s Paying the Tab that breaks down the drinking habits of American adults.
Sure, we believe that 30% of American drinkers don’t drink at all, or another 30% stop themselves after one drink every night, but 10% of US drinkers admit to drinking an average 74 drinks per week, or 10 drinks per day! That 10% covers 24 million adults of drinking age, which is one hell of a bar tab.
If this eye-opening chart has you worried you may be drinking too much, you can take solace in French actor Gerard Depardieu recently telling The UK’s So Film magazine that he has no problem drinking 14 bottles of wine in a day. Way to make us feel like underachievers…
